“’Dr. J (Jeff Rosensweig), Macroeconomics. Dr. J’s course did an outstanding job of bringing in concepts from several other classes and leveraged real-time events to give the class a clear understanding of how topics from our cases and text translate to real life. Dr. J has an excitement in the classroom about economics that is oddly contagious. From the first minute of the first session with him, he packed in as much learning as possible in our time together. It was really cool to see how excited he would get about things most of us in the class never really spent much time thinking about. Topics like the jobs report suddenly became dinner conversation material for most of us because of Dr. J’s passion for his ‘doughnut ratio,’ or the true employment figure. His class was challenging and time-consuming, but one from which I will carry the concepts for a long time. I would assume that accounting is not an easy class to make entertaining, but she managed to do it. She was witty and fun as she explained to us, real-world problems as they related to accounting. There is nothing more enjoyable as a student than to see a professor love what she does and be excited about her subject.
