The Executive MBA program is an accelerated, cohorted program, comprised of four terms and four off-campus residency periods. The program begins in January with a multi-day residency. Thereafter, classes meet all day Friday and all day Saturday on alternating weeks. The program requires 60 credits, with no waiver or transfer credit given. A grade point average of 3.0 is required for graduation.
During their first week at the Warren Conference Center, participants focus on building, managing, and maintaining high-performance teams. A highlight of the week is the CEO Symposium, where participants learn first-hand from a senior executive about leadership and the responsibilities of top management. A second residency has students going to Washington, D.C. Through visits to government agencies, such as the Federal Reserve, and lectures by experts in key government roles, the EMBA class learns about the role of government and public-policy during an intensive two-day residency in Washington, D.C.
The program’s third residency is in Mexico City. Hosted at I.P.A.D.E., Mexico’s premier business school, the class participates in “International Week,” with EMBA students and professors from North and South America and Europe. Together, they address current business phenomena from an intercultural and international perspective. The week includes cultural and social events as well as site visits to Mexican companies.
A final residency trip abroad gives students the opportunity to gain a first-hand perspective on international business and economic systems. Students acquire in-depth knowledge through visits to top companies and meetings with top management. Most recently, students have completed this residency in China and Hong Kong.
