Unlike most Executive MBA programs, the Claremont version feels a bit more like an evening MBA program. Students are not in a typical lock-step, cohort, traveling through the program together and attending classes largely on weekends over a set period of time. While this gives students a lot of flexibility in structuring their MBA studies, the downside is obvious: you don’t have a group of people who you will get to know and learn from on a fairly intimate basis.

The coursework for the EMBA here can be done in as little as 18 months or as long as seven years. Yes, you read that right: seven years! There’s also no required international exposure, though there are study abroad options in Costa Rica, Oxford, England, and Hong Kong (all at additional cost, of course).

On the other hand, you can take nearly two-thirds of your coursework in electives, allowing you to pretty much tailor this EMBA to your interests and taste. Normally, electives in EMBA programs are few and far between. And you can pretty much adjust your course load based on the demands of your professional and personal life. That’s also rare in a typical EMBA program.

Classes are offered weeknights from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The program consists of three 14-week semesters divided into six 7-week modules each year.
