Babson College is expanding its executive education portfolio to train workers for the modern workforce. Plans include a new fully online suite of stackable courses and a new center for lifelong learning.
Babson College is significantly expanding its Professional and Executive Education portfolio to meet demand for creative skills like entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership. The expansion includes its first ever online learning platform, Babson On-Demand, and construction of a new Executive Lodge and Conference Center.
The move acknowledges the seismic shifts coming and already happening in today’s workforce. Economic volatility, rapid technology advancements, demographic shifts, the climate crisis, and more have changed not only the way people work but the skills they need to bring to the table. A recent report from the World Economic Forum, “Future of Jobs Report 2025,” says creative thinking skills are needed to keep up.
“Babson’s enhanced approach to executive education represents a continuation of our ability to assess the evolving market needs of professionals around the world,” says Babson President Stephen Spinelli Jr. in a release. “Flexible formats and accessible price ranges will broaden our reach and bring our proven approach to entrepreneurship and business education to new audiences.”
BABSON’S FIRST FULLY ONLINE COURSES
Babson On-Demand is a collection of fully online, self-paced, and stackable courses targeting both companies and individuals. Content focuses on real-world business skills like building inclusive teams, delivering strong presentations, or developing startup ideas.
It’s the Massachusetts-based business school’s first online, modular learning model built for working professionals and corporate partners.
Courses can be taken one at a time or bundled into thematic tracks. Learners can earn digital badges which can in turn be stacked into certificates, advanced certificates, and even degrees.
New leadership certificates include Concept to Customer: Prototyping and Market Evaluation, Startup Finance and Strategy, and Thinking and Acting Like an Entrepreneur. Each requires completion of three to four badge courses. Advanced certificates, like “The Early Entrepreneur’s Toolkit,” require completion of several certificates in a specialized field.
Courses are designed for flexibility, accessibility, and practical application.
Babson’s full executive Professional and Executive Education portfolio also includes custom programs for organizations as well as a variety of live online, blended, and in-person courses to fit varying preferences.

Babson also plans to build a new Executive Lodge and Conference Center, its first facility built specifically to support executive learners and multi-day programs.
The center, slated to open in mid-2027, will expand on-campus capacity for overnight stays and create meeting spaces to host in-person learning and corporate retreats.
The 77,600-square-foot center will include more than 70 modern guest rooms, technology equipped classrooms, and a large banquet hall for executive, corporate, and community events. The design emphasizes technology and natural light and also features a full-service restaurant and bar, rooftop terrace, and a dedicated fitness area.
The center is part of Babson’s broader plan to grow its executive education presence and become a go-to learning partner for professionals throughout their careers.
