UC-San Diego Rady School of Management’s executive MBA is ranked the 28th best part-time MBA program in the world and the 6th best part-time MBA program in California, according to U.S. News and World Report‘s 2022 ranking.

Among L.A.’s executive MBA options, UC-San Diego is one of the only STEM-designated programs. This means that its curriculum focuses on analytical and data-driven content and skills. STEM designation also allows international students on F-1 visas to work in the US for an additional 24 months under the Optional Practical Training extension, for a total of 36 months. Plus, the school’s location makes it an ideal spot for those interested in being part of a science and technology hub.

In the EMBA’s first year, there are 48 units and 44 units in the second. For the elective portion of the program, students can choose weeknight, weekend, and other approved graduate level electives at UC San Diego, allowing students to get a taste of other areas of interest.

QUARTERLY TUITION BILLS PROVIDE MORE FINANCIAL FLEXIBILITY

On top of the core courses and electives, students also have the opportunity to explore a project that puts their skills to practice in the Lab to Market Capstone Course Sequence. This experiential learning sequence of courses teaches students to evaluate business opportunities, assess innovations, and bring them to the marketplace in a hands-on, collaborative environment. In this course sequence, students gain skills to think entrepreneurially in any setting.

Tailored to senior level working professionals with demanding careers, this program is meant for those who want to amplify their business acumen while gaining entrepreneurial skills. Over 50 per cent of Rady’s EMBA students have advanced degrees at the time of entering the program, and an average of 13.6 years of working experience. As a program catered to those with rigorous jobs, the school offers videos of classes missed for business reasons, teaching assistants and review sessions with hours convenient for working professionals, and study spaces open 24/7 to suit students’ work schedules.

Run the duration of 22-24 months, classes are delivered on alternating Saturdays and Sundays. Plus, tuition is billed quarterly, allowing for more financial flexibility.

In this program, the GMAT/GRE and interviews are required for admission. Find more information here.
