PURDUE UNIVERSITY IN INDIANAPOLIS OPENS WITH NEW HOME FOR EXEC ED

Purdue University West Lafayette just opened its extension campus, Purdue University in Indianapolis, in multiple locations throughout the city.

As part of the extension campus, Purdue’s Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business Executive Education along with several Purdue Innovators programs will be housed at the High Alpha building in the burgeoning Bottleworks District of Indianapolis.

High Alpha is Indiana’s leading venture studio launching and scaling next-generation business-to-business software. Purdue Innovators was formed in April in partnership with the Purdue Research Foundation to support Purdue-connected startups. It streamlines access to technology commercialization resources such as intellectual property licensing and protection while providing support resources to launch, scale and invest in new ventures.

Purdue University in Indianapolis is housed in Purdue’s portion of the former Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), a 55-year collaboration between Purdue and Indiana University in the state’s capital city that has now formally ended.

The move, alongwith Purdue’s recent partnership renewal with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., are the latest signals that the university is making good on a promise to significantly grow innovation and the tech-driven economy in central Indiana. Purdue University in Indianapolis will focus on STEM-based programs that connect Purdue students and faculty in Indianapolis to local businesses to accelerate Indiana’s STEM pipeline and tech ecosystem.
