Where In The World Is Wharton?

HEAVY WEIGHT ON SALARIES BOOSTED SCHOOLS TO THE TOP

The methodology’s heavy reliance on compensation was a significant factor in the performance of the schools at the top of the list. The Economist said that IE students reported that their basic salaries had risen by 52% by the time they graduated, from $101,569 to $154,281. “Within two years they could expect their salaries to have increased by 125%, more than those of students at any other school,” the Economist said. Students in Kellogg’s joint program with HKUST earn an average $261,000 a year and boast 15 years of work experience.

The Economist noted that American programs dominate the ranking. “Well over half the programmes on our list are based—solely or partly—in America,” it said. The magazine plans to do its EMBA ranking every other year.
