Georgetown Launches New Certificate Course in Finance

Managers seeking to bolster their financial literacy and understanding may benefit from a new, three-day Executive Certificate course at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, titled Demystifying Finance: Balance Sheet Basics for Non-Financial Managers.

From May 22-24, 2012, this intensive course in the basics of finance, accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis will help participants understand the main terms and concepts of these disciplines and enable them to read a financial statement in depth, with knowledge of what went into it, why, and what the bottom line means for the organization. Demystifying Finance is designed for non-financial professionals at the middle to senior level, as well as individual consultants, entrepreneurs, or others seeking to expand their business expertise. No prior financial knowledge or education is required.

The course fee is $4,250, and the registration deadline is May 8, 2012. Committed to lifelong learning, Georgetown McDonough offers a significant discount for alumni of Georgetown University.
