The Executive MBA program at Goizueta Business School is offered in two formats: Modular and Weekend.

The Weekend Executive MBA format is offered on alternating weekends on the Emory campus.  Beginning in January of each year, four terms are held over a 16-month period. The Modular Executive MBA format is made up of nine one-week learning modules on the Emory campus over a period of 21 months and is augmented by distance learning. This program begins the fall of each year.

As part of the program’s core requirements, the school developed a capstone feature called the International Colloquium. The objective of this 10-day international module is to acquaint students with the various ways in which global companies develop and manage their international businesses.

Application Deadline: June 15 (Modular EMBA); October 30 (Weekend EMBA)

Latest Up-to-Date Executive MBA Rankings:

2012 Poets&Quants: 17

2011 BusinessWeek: 15

2011 U.S. News & World Report: 13

2010 The Wall Street Journal: NR

2011 Financial Times: 41

Rankings Analysis: Emory’s EMBA program dropped two places in the PoetsandQuants’ 2012 ranking, falling to 17th from 15th in 2011. The reason for the decline has to do with the school’s weaker showing in both the BusinessWeek and U.S. News’ rankings of 2011. Emory’s EMBA program fell three places to 15th from 12th in BusinessWeek, which ranks programs on the basis of graduate satisfaction and a reputation poll of EMBA directors. The school’s EMBA program dropped two spots in U.S. News’ 2011 ranking to 13th from 11th. U.S. News ranks solely on the basis of a reputation poll of B-school deans and MBA directors. Emory held on to its Financial Times’ rank of 41st in the world which was unchanged from 2010.

Despite the rankings fall, BusinessWeek found the Class of 2011 in a pretty good mood. As one graduate told BW, “Emory’s EMBA program gives the white glove treatment for its EMBAs. The student quality at Emory is perhaps underrated, these guys and girls are very smart and accomplished individuals. Combine that with a top-notch faculty, great administrative and career coaching/services support and you have the ingredients for a top business school. The school is clearly well funded and the facilities are of the highest quality. I’d do the program again in a heartbeat.”
